Replacing a tie rod

If you notice that something feels off, have one of our Volkswagen certified technicians give your vehicle a once-over. However, the most common cause of this issue is a problematic tie rod. A tie rod is a crucial part of your car s steering mechanism. This is what connects the steering rack — which contributes in turning of your car (basically) to the steering arm that allows you to steer. If the tie rod wears out or is damaged, it can have serious consequences for your steering. That can make the car difficult to control — and even potentially dangerous if it happens while you are out on the road. As a result, if your car is not responding to steering as used to or you are struggling with handling properly while driving then might be time for an inspection and possible replacement of tie rod.

If you are not a car enthusiast or do now know much about the functioning of cars, then replacing your tie rod may seem like a scary and overwhelming task, the same as Zhongming's atv tie rod ends. But with the help of some simple tools and a little bit of clear guidance, its something that you can do at home on your own. Tie rods are pretty easy to replace if you break it down step-by-step. The only way is to teach yourself how and that can save you a bunch of time and money. You can do it yourself and pay someone else to. As always, follow the guide below step by step and be sure to take proper safety precautions when working on your car.

Replacing it made easy

Park the vehicle on a level surface. After all, you want to be home long enough for the bath to fill. Pull that water way up (at least 5 or more inches) then set your emergency brake so it does not roll until you have a nice warm bag o' bones.

Search for the Tie Rod Ends, as well as the extended tie rods made by Zhongming. On one end it is connected to the steering knuckle (turns your wheels) and on the other side, they are either bolted or screwed into you rack(naughty).
